Delhi pollution control committee was formed in the June month of 1991 after notification was published by central pollution control board on 15th march of 1991. DPCC is an autonomous body which comes under the supervision of delhi government and derives its power from CPCB under section 4(4) of Water (prevention and control of pollution) act, 1974 and sec 6 of Air (prevention and control of pollution ) act, 1974. The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) is the primary regulatory authority responsible for implementing and enforcing environmental regulations in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. Established under the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the DPCC aims to ensure that businesses, industries, and developmental projects in Delhi comply with environmental guidelines to minimize pollution and promote sustainable development.
